Rick,
Do you want them posted here or emailed through? I can do one up over the next few days (I'll do anything for a free T-Shirt)........
Make sure you get one from that crazy Mountain bike rider at The Melb City Baths...It will give him something to do instead of surfing the net looking at Kettlebell web sites..

Rick

Swinging a 16kg kettlebell say 3 times a week takes my bench press up 40kg in 3 months when actually doing bench press three times a week didn't!

Forget the gym membership, do this! - you'll get fitter, stronger and most of all you'll have more fun doing it. It really does work.

Hi Rick

For the last 7 years my training consisted of going to the gym and doing your standard gym exercises and not getting great results, 5 months ago I came across Kettlebells and now I know what real strength is.
Since using Kettlebells I have become stronger, fitter and faster, my core strength has gone through the roof and I have never felt better.

My training mainly focuses on power, so using Kettlebells has also given me more size and the best thing is they are great fun, I never want to not workout.
I no longer have a need to go to the gym so I have already saved a heap in gym fees therefore making Kettlebells a great investment for the future.

I have worked in the fitness industry for many years with anyone from evreyday people to Elite athletes. Through the use of kettlebells i have been able to offer my clients a new degree of training for Strength, Stability and Focus. Kettlebells have issued the challenge to even my seasoned performers and allowed them to elevate themselves to a higher level. Many have struggled with what seems such a simple object but when they finally prevail, they are left with a true sense of satisfaction and achievment. If only I had learn't the russians secret of kettlebell training sooner...

I received my first kettlebell from australiankettlebells.com and haven't looked back. I have been practising jujitsu for over 6 years now and this piece of training equipment has started to give me the primal strength I was looking for. A better, stronger grip, a more stable core, improved leg strength (one legged squats rule!!) all while retaining my much treasured flexibilty. I used to kinda wince at the thought of lifting barbells but this kettlebell has got more comin' back for more. What can I say, I've been bitten by the 'bell bug and I'm lovin' it.

I use Kettlbells because nothing else compares to the results they deliver. I have increased Power, Strength and Flexibility. I forgot to mention the extreme increase in Endurance as well!
For the sport of Kickboxing you need to be tough as well, Kettlebells toughen you mental and physically. All my students are now using them and can't believe the gains.

I have been using KBs for six weeks now. I went from 71.5 kg to 73.3 kg in that time and still have my abs, without eating excessive amount. At first, I thought the scale was broken so I used other scales and the results were the same. But what really clinched it for me was when a few of my mates commented that I was getting buffed! Whoa there is something in them bells for sure! However that is not all, as when i had to wristlock someone (i am in security), i used what i thought was minimum pressure but this mother was screaming and begging me to ease up! That to me is the shit!---FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH, i am as strong as i look! Thank you Comrade Pavel for bringing the KB to the West and thank you Comrade Rick for bringing it to OZ!

Kettlebell training is not a way of training its a lifestyle .My son and wife and I all love our new training with kettlebells and tell everyone who will listen how beneficial they are in keeping you young in body and mind.I have been able to take part in discussions around training forums all over the world and continue to research training methods on a daily basis.

In February 2005 I had double discectomy spinal surgery, for L4/L5/S1lumbar herniated discs, a large portion of the bone over the nerve root and disc material from under the nerve root was removed to relieve my significant pain and provide more room for the nerve to heal. Some of the disc material entered my spinal canal and had to be removed also, more pain more surgery. I also had a lumbar laminectomy. The laminectomy surgery removed a significant portion of the bone over the nerve root where the spine locks, theoretically I should now spin round 360 degrees! :(

Post surgery rehab was very painful and after a few weeks of hobbling around I picked up a kettlebell again, I had previously trained in martial arts and brought my kettlebells to Australia from Scotland. I discovered Australian Kettlebells and Rick put me through the mill to get my posture and technique correct, both crucial to not being injured and specifically designed to strengthen my lumber region. At the time I was restricted to one 16kg KB. I also walked my ass off every day and went swimming 4 times a week. I treated my rehab very aggressively and coupled this with physio and McKenzie stretches 3 times daily.

I then progressed to two 16kg, then a 24kg then two 24kg, then a 32kg, then a 40kg! Admittedly I can only clean and press the 40kg three times a side and I can snatch it twice per side but can handle the 24kg quite well. Perhaps my achievements are quite conservative compared to some of the training diarys I see on this website, however last month managed 248 snatches in the 10min challenge with a 16kg and a rather miserable 130 with the 24kg. Theres life in the old dog yet and I continue to improve.....

I also use the KBs to exercise my mutifidus muscles, these ones being the muscles that spasm easily and provide integral support when you bend.

I train 2-3 times weekly and now and again have a rest for a few weeks. On 3 occasions I have injured myself whilst training (a combination of bravado and stupidity in training with my 22 year old son, who is as fit as a butchers dog!) Most recently an MRI showed I strained my inner psoas and the physio was a killer but again, slow build up with the KBs have brought me back to strength, almost.

Almost all people I know who have had similar surgery have struggled to get back to some sort of fitness and indeed some have completely failed, most have had more surgery or epidurals etc etc.

I, for one, remain totally and absolutely convinced that kettlebell training as rehab for my lumbar issues, given correct instruction and posture, were the feature of my rehab that not only got me back to work in 4 weeks but continues to develop strength in my lower back and overall base strength as well. My wife, son and 16 year old daughter all train at least weekly with KBs, they are an institution in our household!

Now, if that isnt worth a t shirt I dont know what is! :D

hey rick I was the one who came up with my dad to pick the kettlebells up. thought ild let everyone on here know what they have done for me. When i first starts 8 weeks ago i was pressing 16kg now i can press 40kg no worries and also press 2 32kgs, ive gone from racking a 24kg to racking the 48kg. Ive put 2-3kgs in pure muscle in places i never had on as well as lost every bit of fat i had on my body, my muscle definition had improved out of sight im truly never going to go back to the gym again or that type of training I laugh at them now when i see them busting there guts and not getting any results. they are truly incredible. Ive Introduced them to my dad who is over weight and he and other people has seen the results his posture has improved out of sight and he can actually flex now before he had nothing. My sister loves them she did a session with me and Mr Elliot twice and lost 4 kg!!!! ive gotten my girlfriend and her parents and brother into them they love them they just brought and 8,12 and 16kg off you and they are seeing the results, descreased body fat and increase strength.. these kettlebells are the best training tool money can buy im fully obcessed with them and so is my family and friends.

Im in the best shape I have been in my whole life, the other day i went swimming for the first time since the start of the year when i was training at State level, i jumped in and it felt like i never stopped training i had more power and my lung capacity has improved out of sight and i have not even been swimming training plus i just got told i have asthma n the affects of it has totally disapeared.

These kettlebells have change my life and the life of my family, ive got that edge ive been looking for and the body to go with it they are truly incredible i recomend them to any one who wants to be the best

Ps: Free shirt worthy?? i promote your products enough by word of mouth i need the shirt to go with it

I have an interest in Australian Kettlebells as a satisfied customer who started with 16 kg KBs about 18 months ago, moved to a 20 kg KB, am using 24s now (with a little work with the 32s) and will purchase a 40 kg KB soon. I've put on functional muscle and my endurance has gone through the roof.

Kettlebells really are truely a remarkable tool. You can use them for a wide range of exercise or go for a simple "minimum" program and you will get excellent increases in strength and endurance- all in 15-45 minutes 3-6 times a week. You need a program that is specfic to your goals (see DVDs & books on Aus. Kettlebells site) a good diet (lots of fruit, veg & meat) and adequate sleep. Make sure to work hard some of the time but vary how hard AND every few weeks let the body recover and grow by doing a bit less for a few days (eg a week).

Im in my 40s now and wish I had had access to kettlebells (and their benefits) 30 years ago.

I have "glass" hands, from an old injury but have found with care and taking advantage of the wide range of exercises and grips to design careful progressions Ive been able to progress much further than I anticipated. .... and Im still improving.
OB
PS Im not particularly interested in a t shirt but want to let others know about the fun and performance improvements that can be created with kettlebells.
