No, sorry Jamie don't stock em.
We have one of these in our gym:

Does the job- can load it up with approx 10kg.

i have seen that reebok sell a vest that holds up to 10kg and i can get one for around $120.

Im just a little wary cause Reebok are not really known for their hard core training gear. Except for maybe those shoes they released that had indicators on em or that Reebok slide.

Has anyone seen one of their vests?

I'm interested in finding a vest that can be loaded with standard weight plates. I've looked into getting vests that can hold up to 40 odd kg, but was not impressed with the idea of having to buy their specialised filler weights or to pay the extra postage to send them up to darwin.

I understand that the 40kg example is an extreme - and that when you hit that amount of weight you would want for the vest to be specifically loaded for safety - but does anyone know of something similar to what I'm talking about?

Hi
The link Rick put in for Xvest.com is worth exploring further- I think they make a vest for military\emergency services types that will take 40 or 50 kg.

The el cheapo idea (I have used for walking) is to use an ordinary hiking pack. I have loaded one with 10-30 kilograms and gone for walks with it. This mighnt work for other applications

Reebok sell a 20kg for around $240 (if you know someone with Fitness Network membership), which from what ive seen is bloody cheap. They also only charge $10 p&h to anywhere in Australia

Theyre very good quality

Oh and that price includes Reeboks you beaut flex metal plates

I know this is a seriously late reply but you can buy the Xvests (American version) from HF Insutries in Australia. I got the 84lb Fire Fighter model which cost around $700 with postage to Brisbane. They have a HF Industries logo on them but come in a Xvest box with DVD and Poster.

Sounds expensive but I was quoted $299 US retail for the vest and $399 US postage to Australia from Xvest in the US and they told me to contact them.

Mind you 84lbs is a heck of a lot of weight, first day I had it I did some hill walking with what I thought was 20lbs but after nearly fainting from exhaustion found out was 45lbs and would hate to try the full weight not that I'm that fit anyway.

The vest is a great fit and great quality and I believe HF Industries also stocks the lighter models as well. I did a lot of research and believed the xvest was the only option for my needs and the best quality of what was available.

I did look at another vest from weightvest.com which was a plate vest and they had resonable prices and cheap shipping due to the lack of weight but found them really hard to pay for it from overseas as they won't take credit cards only bank transfers.

Hope this helps.

Hi Guys,

This is a late reply indeed.

Jamie, the 10 kilo weight vest that you used when I came down to see you is the Xvest from the states. These are a confortable fit & go up in weight by 10 kilo increments.

The weight poles inside for each vest can be put in or taken out at any stage, but don't tighten the velcro straps to tightly otherwise your ribs when be hurting for days.

Watermank, can you pass on the details of HF Industries to me at justinathome@bigpond.com that would be awesome.

Anyway, i got a 20kg from Reebok for the $240 and it really is good quality

Watermank thats a hefty vest mate. Are you using it for walking etc or for bwt+ training?

Hi Jamie,

Yes still kicking, but not much above ground where people can see me. Mum & dad sold up from Hillarys & now out in Ellenbrook next to the Gnangara Pine Plantation.

Work has been busy & the weather crap up my way & trying to get all my crap sorted from moving.

The OZ $ is high, so buy, buy, buy from the states!

Starting my way back into the life & way of the kb with squats, deads & step ups.
