Could some one tell me which muscle groups the following exercises use
kb snatch , gs longcycle, also clean jerk squat also jerks regards Mark 8) 8)

why do you need to know Mark? It borders on analysis paralysis - the body knows only movements, not muscles.

Those drills use everything. especially the brain muscle :)

yes i agree but now since ive been working those eccys i will build on with stair runs and core stuff and should be on the right track regards Mark

snatches: hamstrings, shoulders, glutes(major), upperback, quads(minor), core(stabilisation)

Clean and jerk: hamstrings, shoulders, glutes(major), upper and lowerback, quads, chest(minor), core(stabilisation)

Squats: calves, thighs, glutes(major), core(stabilisation)

umm...and a number of forearm muscles get used in both snatch and jerk , of course biceps,brachialis help in rack position , triceps help lockout.

Neck extensors are used quite a bit , lower back takes a hit with long snatch sets , also gluteus medius.

Sometimes also the small muscles in the feet are worked in long jerk sets...and calves.

The thought of a long heavy set can also get one's alimentary smooth muscle working hard!

i just wanted to explain the basic muscles involved, but i did forget to mention some of the stablising muscles and forearm/grip involvement
