the best quote - "As British writer A.A.Gill wrote recently, "The great misconception about gyms is that they're palaces of vanity ... where the shallow preen and pump in front of 10-foot mirrors with devoted narcissism. Actually, it's precisely the opposite. Gyms vibrate with self-loathing and doubt. Going to the gym is an admission of failure. It's the realisation that ... your body isn't a temple to fun and fornication any more; it's a decrepit, leaky, condemned shell that is decomposing faster than you can shore it up."

Happy days!

very true man i broke my shin bone in my last muay thai title fight in Ireland and that sure was pain but it comes down to a weakness leaving the body and much more, first it was tension in my own body at the time that got multiplied back to me and resulting in breaking my shin bone.So its all in the mind,in my studies with russian systema i learned that in a fight if your not free in your body of tension and not ready to strike with no emotion then you will not deliever it properly or worst case if you have anger or cocky emotions then you get broken.I hurt my opponent with a shin kick and then got cocky and normally i go around the person to deliever a kick to the thigh but i decided to go straight through to take his 2 legs out and i used my full force resulting in tension and he just raised his shin my shin hit his below his knee and snapped,so lesson is get rid of tension and ego and just flow.I now incorporate my systema to muay thai with devasting results, see y at my upcoming workshop in sydney.Train well.

Hopefully that doesn't translate into breaking an opponent's shinbone!
