Does anyone out there use the rings? I have only started to use them on a regular basis and have found a massive increase in all around strength......just the dips and pushups have made a very obvious improvement on OH pressing and general upper body strength, it seems that not very many people use them. Ive been using the power bands to get to the stage Im at for most of the movements, mainly dips. I now use them as a vital part for OH strength and more importantly stability. My shoulders have gained a new lease from the constant stability needed to just hold your body weight. Anyway they are worth a look in
We sell shit loads of rings, so there are plenty using them.
Great to mix in with the usual suspects- bells, barbells, sandbags, etc.

Mat, I love the rings! I mostly do variations of pull/chin ups, holds, rotations, etc- I don't know the names. I feel that they have really helped my functional all round strength. In a way I feel better coordinated. Rings aren't a major part of my training I just play on them or use them as a finisher- however I use them most days- perhaps in a kind of Power to the people, Grease the groove for strength- way.

Gymnasts have excellent pressing strength. Unfortunately the ballistic nature of gymnastics and competition emphasis on developing joints tends to ruin shoulders prematurely. But in their prime , gymnasts would be an interesting match for Oly lifters in the press.
Stoyan and his mate were very impressive at the Gingko workshop. Very.
