I have been having a go at the old janda sit-up tonight. ANd up-until now have had trouble contracting the hamstrings against the calves. SO I ties one of the mini bands to a point about a metre off the ground and attached the the remainding bottom loop under my heels........this worked perfectly! very cheap and effective and adds constant resistance to to the legs for the janda sit-up
