Hi all,

Just a few questions about 'heavy' band squats, I find, when setting up the squat with a heavy band (in the deep squat position and the first squat) pretty awkward. It is difficult to get my posture correct when I first engage the bands in a deep squat- it's difficult not to be hunched over. It is quite different to a standard squat- which you set up the movement at the top of the 'lift' as opposed to the bottom. The bottom is where injuries are more likely to happen. Any ideas? Is heavy squats with bands a good idea? Have others found this issue? etc.

This is a pretty boring post, but I'm curious!

Hi Tom

I use the heavy bands connected to the hip squat belt, then perform on an elevated platform to keep resistance up. I find them pretty good. I have tried on the shoulders then under feet with problems and awkward movements, so I dont do them. The "super squat hip belt is a good investment and is very effective with bands.

cheers
