Hello,
I love deadlifts and i have started them again recently after a long layoff and have noticed when i begin the pull i get pins and needles briefly in my feet. then the next day i have an irritated feeling in both feet and in my left glute muscle on and off that last a few days after deadlifting. i dont get any back pain whilst or after deadlifting.
I have had my form assessed by Ben Minos and he said it was fine . I also saw a sports physician here in brisbane, He suggested my back seemed normal, after a lengthy consultation where he prodded and poked then he suggested my lower back is weak and he instructed me to do birddogs with a hold at the top for 8 secs each to work up to 30 reps and side bridges. after a few months of this i strengthened my core with added various exercises and started deads again but still getting it. no other exercise bothers it , romanian deadlifts from the top ,pistols with 20 kilo kettlebell, but everytime i do conventional lifts off the floor it comes back. im kinda scared to do them if im damaging something with this. i fear a disc or something.
Thanks for reading ,sorry its longwinded
