You did an outstanding set at the Rybinsk virtual comp: please, don't quit GS for french and bench presses!

Thank you my friend! Do not fear , the presses are quite normal for Russian training! The aim is to improve tricep strength for lockout with heavy bells. And , many assistance exercises are done for high reps , well higher than in powerlifting!
I cannot quit GS, it is too healthy for me. Each day or second day I train for GS , but with modifications (asistance exercises) to improve results!

    How is your training?

Was just joking about the presses. I should do some presses too, but have problem fitting them into my training; ok, I will start doing them.
My training goes fine for being at my level. New additions since spring is that I have included (i) Rudnev's light snatches with gloves (and/or baby powder), as well as (ii) a little strength work.
The strength work is that I do some low-volume training with heavier bells most sessions. I think it helps especially with lockouts.
Technically, next project is to eliminate that I tend to pause at the bottom of 1st and 2nd dip. As for comps, next aim is the lc event in Kuusamo in Finland.

Snapshot . Today was dedicated to the memory of David Klenow the legend from Ukraine whom I met in 2006. He died suddenly and prematurely of a stroke August 21st. Totally dedicated to lifting KBs for just the glory of his country. RIP mate!
