Gymnastic Ring Training FAQ

"Rings are great for pull-ups and chin-ups, and they are a lot kinder to the elbows than the straight bar. All of the ring drills have a fun, athletic feel to them and are brutal on the prime mover and stabilizer muscles alike. The great variety of exercises is limited only by your imagination."

Pavel Tsatsouline- World renowned strength authority

Ring training is an ideal exercise to add variety to kettlebell training while also developing immense upper body and core strength. Below are the most common questions we receive about gymnastic ring training.

What will Ring Training do for me?

Ring training will provide you with a real world workout. You'll experience an ab workout like no other while also giving your shoulders, biceps, triceps, upper back and forearms training they won't forget in a hurry.

If you're after some variety and a new challenge to your training then ring training is what you need.

What types of exercises can I perform with ring training?

Ring training allows you to perform many challenging and worthwhile exercises including;

  • Chin ups
  • Various pull ups
  • Muscle ups
  • Rows
  • Front levers
  • Planches
  • Roll outs
  • Iron cross and more....

What sports and activities is ring training suited for?

Ring training is ideal for any sporting activity. It is most effective for sports where upper body and core strength is a necessity.

What are they made from?

Our Power Rings are made from indestructible poly carbonate resin. You won't break them! The straps are made from equally strong nylon that can hold over 500kg.

Are they easy to set-up?

Yes, the Power Rings are highly adaptable to your surroundings. Place the straps over a beam, bar or tree limb (make sure they are solid and can hold your weight) and adjust the height and you're ready to go.

The Power Rings are lightweight and portable so you can take them to the park, office or gym. It should only take a few moments to set them up - be sure to clear any obstructions or other impediments

What product do you recommend?

We believe the best value for money is the Power Rings Complete Package. This comes with everything you'll need to get started - including a pair of rings with adjustable straps, an instructional DVD and some Tite Grip.
