This is the essence of footwork and the reality of dictating the pace of the fight or the match or whatever the job you need to do.
There are two ways to attach an agility band; one is via the hip attachment, while the other is the harness attachment. The hip attachment is the basic method and will fundamentally engage your legs. The harness attachment means that your upper body, especially your abdominal muscles become more involved. This increases the effectiveness of the exercise, but also increases the stress exerted on your lower back. It is best to develop a solid base of the hip attachment first before progressing to the more advanced harness attachment.
Iron Edge currently produces two-meter green (standard) and blue (monster) agility bands. Two-meter bands have superseded smaller ones, which required they be tied together. A single, larger band prevents damage to the band itself and increases its effectiveness. Attach one end to a fixed object, like a pole, stump or car (preferably parked) using our utility strap and carabineer and you’re ready to go.
