Is your body stiff, tight and not moving how it should?
A few sessions on the foam roller should see a huge improvement. Here's why:
The Foam Roller is an effective and cheap way to release myofascial tightness, deactivate trigger points and deliver all kinds of stretching benefits.
The Foam Roller is essentially a self massage tool. Instead of expensive visits to the medical professional each day, giving the user an easy and fast way to rehabilitate between visits.
Or it's ideal to use for warm ups and cool downs – either during practice or on match day.
To use you simply use your body weight to apply pressure to sore and tight spots in your back, legs, buttocks, arms. Overtime these sore areas will become desensitised and over active muscles more controlled.
The foam roller is now used by elite athletes (like the entire West Coast Eagles Team) and medical professionals (Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors) and it should be part of every kit for athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
Made from strong dense EVA foam, these foam rollers are designed to maintain their shape after years of use.
New roller released November 2010:
Denser EVA foam for longer durability and more effective usage
Hex pattern for grip during strengthening exercises
Dimensions 100cm long x 15cm diameter.
Get yours today and start rolling your way to a better body!

Ironedge Roller Like some of the other reviewers i accepted pain as a consequence of a busy athletic lifestyle. I started using this roller - which is infinitely superior to any on the market (all of which are more expensive) and all my aches and pains have seriously diminished. For the 1st time in about 5 years i can run distance without hobbling around for days afterwards. I have bought a few of these and all my clients are experiencing similar results. I couldn't recommend this product highly enough.

Australian Kettelbells has products with simple but explanation but that are slightly different to other competitors. My foam roller is the best with being that extra 100mmm longer for taller people like myself and I can lie on it and rest my head as well. Love it - just need to keep the cat away from it as they love chewing it - not good for vet bills.

I have a slight stoop and lying on this foam roller for 15 minutes a day is stretching my chest muscles to help straigten me out.

I use it to stretch my chest and hamstrings. Love it!

ITB Problems Cured! I was suffering from IT Band syndrome and found that stretching out my legs (including ITB) wasn't enough. A friend highly recommended I get my hands on a foam roller and does it do wonders! Really helps get all the knots, tightness, gunk and toxic build up in your muscles. If your a highly active person, be it running, weight lifting, football, tennis etc, this is a must have tool.

Get one, they're only 50 bucks! I've only had this thing for a day but my upper back feels better than it has in months! The muscles in and around my shoulder blades have been getting very tight lately from the ring work I have been doing but the roller seems to have taken care of that in a nice 10 minute roll vertically then horizontally. I'll probably use this every day!!

A simple cylindrical foam with small hard bubbles on its surface can be so effective.I can actually hear my spine cracked, as the roller rolls down my spine and discovered that some of my low back pain is due to a sore left bum which was detected with the roller and solved.

Fantastic I'm a huge fan of the foam roller - I use it a couple of times a week to stretch my leg, thigh, and back muscles. Makes for better sleeping! :-)

Awesome tool for stretching, getting 'knots' out of muscle etc. Feels like a good massage. Really loosens the body up and gets rid of that stiffness. I use it pre and post exercise and before bed.

Great Product and Price I purchased this as i do a lot of cycling and running, this really allows me to stretch out and lengthen my hamstrings and ITB, both of which get extremely tight. I have used it extensively in recovery from an ultramarathon and it has helped me get back on my feet quick smart! Love it.

Rehab Suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis i find the need to keep my body as happy as possible. Especially my hips and back. Nothing works better than a good roll on the itb and glute muscles to keep these area's pain free and movement unrestricted. I never squat without a good soft tissue session with the roller first.

I am mad, mad trainer too and I love this product. It's awesome. I got the Body Ease DVD too and do yourself a favour and buy it also. You'll learn how to use the roller properly and not waste valuable training time. Wise up and use the roller dude! Thanks Australian Kettlebell for more STUFF THAT WORKS.

Since 1995 I have been a strong advocate of foam rollers and use them everyday in my private practice with my patients.
Foam rollers are an excellent tool for lengthening shortened muscles and strengthening weakened muscles. As they provide just enough instability, without being too unstable, patients are able to experience deep strong muscle stretches and perform challenging strengthening exercises without having to worry they are going to fall off the implement and hurt themselves!
I use also use foam rollers in exercises to maximize proprioceptive elements – lunging onto the roller, performing pushups with hands on the roller.
Many therapists use foam rollers for massaging muscles and getting myofacial release by stretching fascia and working an acupressure points. For example, for cyclists, there is no better massage tool to stretch out typically tight iliotibial bands! I use foam rollers to break down scar tissue post surgery with athletes who have had achilles tendon repairs, shoulder operations and back surgery.
Foam rollers can be used by all patients – from the most immobile, to Olympic Champions, hence they can be prescribed for anyone who is needing muscle stretching, strengthening or rehabilitation.
Australian Kettlebells produce the best foam rollers and I endorse them, and use them exclusively.

I am a hardcore strength trainer who gets very saw in the back and legs from the heavy squating and deadlifting this product seems to good to be true I accepted years ago that pain and recovery is just a fact of life when it comes lifting like a crazy animal but after the first session I felt like a new man I felt so fresh in my self the stiffness & pain in my back and legs was gone. this product is very heavy duty I am 100kg + of solid muscle and it still keeps its round shape the thing weighs 5kg so its not your typical foam. anybody who lifts hard this is a must if you want to recover super fast thank you australian kettelbells for importing this fine product keep up the good work guys.
• How heavy is the foam roller? Is there an option to pick-up if I'm based in Melbourne?
A: It weighs in at ~2kgs. We have a shop at 13 Newton St Richmond if you want to collect.
• If the roller weighs about 2kg why is the freight for 5kg?
A: Our smaller/lighter items get sent via satchels which the Foam Roller won't fit in. We need to set the weight higher so shipping doesn't default to a satchel. Non satchel shipping starts at 5.1kgs.
