Top Quality Weve been using 10 pairs in our club for over 12 months now and they've been fantastic - they have literally changed the way we train in that we can continue on for many reps with light weights without resetting the collar. Being used every day they cop a hammering however every one of them is in perfect condition and has manitained its tight grip. You only have to use them for a single lift and you will never wan to use springs again! Great product and worth every cent.

So much better than the usual spring ones As above. They are not cheap but the price is worth it for the ease of use. They are just so much better than the usual spring ones which can be fiddly to put on and off. These are simple and effective.

• why get a lock jaw over spring collar? does the decrease movement of plates actually protect them from damage?
A: During a work out where you'd be dropping the load repeatedly, yes. Not only does the decrease in movement preserve the plates but also the bar.
• How much weight are these collars rated to hold without slipping on an olympic dumbbell when the bar is verticle, such as a pullover exercise?
A: They're not, every bar is different so the collars grip level on the bar will vary greatly. The Lock Jaw Pro Collars (or any other kind) are not designed to hold weight on a vertical plane.
