The baddest of bad training tools.
For hardcore athletes only.
Warning: Not recommended for amateurs or anyone not ready to feel the pain.
Let's not beat around the bush here. Sandbag training is tough. It’s hardcore and aimed at those individuals that like to push themselves to the limit. If you’re not ready for this don’t go further.
OK, now we’ve got rid of the sissies let me tell you about Power Bags and how training with them can turn you into a hardcore machine.
Power Bags are awkward. They’re not like those perfectly balanced tools you’ll find in those pretty health clubs. They’re raw, ugly and darn right brutal to handle. They literally have a life of their own as the centre of mass continually moves and shifts as you try and tame it.
This means that you have to be on the ball to use them. You’ll be forced to integrate your whole body to keep the bag under control; your back, hips, grip and core will be screaming for a break in minutes. Power Bags give an intense and cruel workout like no other.
There are hundreds of exercises you can use for this old school device. Use it for conditioning or just pure strength. Lift, drag, throw, carry, squat or press it. You are only limited by your imagination. If you want to learn from a pro, pickup Brian Jones’ ‘Complete Sandbag Training Course’ for the most comprehensive book on sandbag training ever written.
Our Power Bags are built to last. Fill the inner bags with sand, close the end and you’re ready to go. You can load it with 10kg (if you’re a sissy) or fill it to the brim with 100+ kg of dead weight sand- we recommend using a courser grade of sand.
The Power Bag pack includes:
One 60cm x 85cm sandbag made from very heavy duty nylon Cordura fabric. This fabric is rip proof and abrasion resistant.
Eight 45cm x 75cm inner bags to easily load or unload your sandbag to your desired weight.
Sand not supplied.
The Power Bag is the ultimate free weight and will give you a break from the tedious and often boring routines associated with gym training.
User Guidelines:
For longevity of your Power Bag, avoid dropping from over head.
The strap at the top of the bag is designed to choke off the bag, using the strap as a handle may compromise the seams of your Power Bag.
Using gaffa tape to seal the inner bags will help prevent any sand leaking out.

A must have the power bag is a must have for any home gym or pt studio. Ever heard of of unconventional training? if not do some research and you will find how affective this simple tool can be in making you harder, stronger and faster. Its a great substitute for powerlifting moves and easy to learn.
If you're serious about your health and fitness and have a small budget to work with then definately get yourself a powerbag!

Individual bags make it easy to fill and seal with sand. Lifting the bloody thing is hard work, this ain't no evenly loaded barbell that's for sure. Pure strength workout with the added benefit of making your lungs burn. Hard, hard work. Terrific. Bag seems to be holding up pretty well so far and I've got 90kg of sand in it at the moment...

The Powerbag has been an awesome ally in my own fitness program, although I am yet to test it on clients. Not having handles make its a much more functional tool than most other fitness sandbags, it forces the user to toughen up their grip just to hold the thing! Worth every cent!

I recently purchased a Powerbag for personal use as well as a tool for Personal Training. I love the amount of different exercises and workouts you can do with it. No two workouts ever have to be the same. The intensity that the bag generates because of the shifting load as well as a lack of handles is fanatstic. I have found that each rep within a given exercise can be different due to the load shifting as you move.
My clients have not experienced anything like it because they are conditioned to a fixed load ie:dumbells or bars.
The best piece of advice I was given when I purchased the bag was to double bag the sand to avoid leakage and this has worked well.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Powerbag as an integral part of anyones fitness arsenal.

I've recently got into functional movements with a personal trainer to add another dimension to my weight routine. 30kg doesn't sound like much to start with, but in the form of the Powerbag it makes your body feel like its lifting a whole lot more. Just gripping and getting it off the ground to your shoulders uses everything you've got, repeat this using a super-set approach and lungs + muscles will be burning in no time. Sets a new standard for metabolic stress.
A: More than you will ever put in it. There are eight internal bags that can hold 80kg. In general the avergae Power bag will be loaded with between 10 and 30kg of sand.
• how much sand do i put in the inturnal bags that goes inside the powerbag
A: The more sand you add to the internal bags the less internal movement you'll get and the bag will become more stable. Ideally for sandbag training you want an unstable load. As such for optimal loading divide the total amount of weight you want to move between all of the internal bags. The amount of load required will differ greatly between individuals as they'll have differing goals and abilities.
• just wanting to know how this fairs underwater? looking for a sandbag to do underwater running with...
A: To be honest we haven't tried using it underwater. The only problem I can imagine is it not draining properly and it getting all nasty inside. Potentially a partially deflated Aquabag would be a better option for what you need it for.
