Having the various resistances allows them to progress as they get stronger. Using bands still adds that balance component which makes them much better than using machines like the gravatron.

They are also great for travel as you can take them anywhere and have a workout. Highly recommend the powerband door jams to anchor the bands and the band handles to make them easier to hold on to.

Author: Kit Laughlin We find the bands to be an essential piece of equipment in the Monkey Gym. We use these to reduce body weight for beginners in exercise like chinups and pullups; to help the more advanced student learn muscle-ups; to allow partial bodyweight Iron Crosses to be practised on the Roman Rings; for changing the force curves of squats and deadlifts; and rotator cuff strengthening movements. One of our guys likes them for triceps pushdowns, too. Excellent quality (but expect the yellow ones to wear out in time), and are absolutely invaluable training aids in our gym. Two thumbs up.
