Got one of these a couple of months ago, initially I got a harness used with another sort of sled but it had a chest strap which rode up and choked me while I was using it for sprints. I then got one of the Zhang Kong nylon weightlifting belt and used that, works perfectly.
I use it for short sprints and incorporate them into a circuit with other things.
For the first few months I was using just the sled with no weight because it's 20kg by itself which was hard enough but I just started using a 20 plate on it for really short sprints (>20m).
I have also used other sorts of sleds in the past and I have to say the bar which allows you to change direction without dragging the whole sled around makes this sled better by a country mile than anything else I have used.
A: Yes. The sled is solid steel with a powder coat to give it a nice finish. It will slide on carpet, grass, gravel etc
• does the power sled take normal or olympic size weight plates?
A: Olympic sized weights
• can you push this aswell as pulling with a harness?

• How heavy is this sled?
A: 22kg
• Is it a metal bottom to the sled? I have a long driveway and its concrete and could use it there in the mornings, but if its metal on concrete then (a)will it be really noisy (neighbhours at 6am wont like me) or (b) will it score and mark the concrete? I dont suppose this or the hurt terminal come with or get rubber padding on the sled bits? thanks very much. sorry if its a silly question.
A: Yes the sled is 100% steel. Rubber or plastic on the feet is something we have explored however the durability is simply inadequate. Rubber and plastic both wear away extremely quickly due to the friction and abrasiveness of the surface they are used on
