The Torsonator - FAQ

"To me it looks like a decent bit of equipment. We will be ordering one"

Kit Laughlin - World authority on posture and flexibility

"Well done on bringing in another great piece of equipment ... any idiot that thinks they can get the same workout from a TRX clearly has no understanding of the difference between angle change biomechanics, and the progressive overload effect from a static, stabilized body position."

Steve - Torsonator Fan

The Torsonator has hit Australian soil. It certainly has created some controversy and discussion. We've put the following page together to help answer all your questions. The video below gives you an idea of its versatility and effectiveness.

Can't I just place a barbell in the corner and get the same effect?

Yep, you can but it's not as functional. Also, we've had feedback that you can damage the bar and wall training this way. What happens if you don't have easy access to a corner or you want to train outside? Sure, you can train with a corner and a barbell, but how on earth can you train two people at once - or use two barbells at the same time? The Torsonator has got all these covered plus more. If you want a device for superior core and rotational power then look no further than The Torsonator.

What makes The Torsonator more effective than those Ab machines?

There is no golden rule that says ab training has to be done lying down. By standing up the training becomes more functional. The traditional sit up machine mimics very few daily or sporting activities, it also trains for muscle endurance which is not overly useful. The Torsonator trains predominately for muscle strength and power of the core - this will assist you in most sports and activities.

What's the difference between the single and double?

The double Torsonator allows you to add a second bar so you can get double the workload. The Double Torsonator has been designed so up to four people can train at the same time (two extra sleeves required - two come standard). All of the exercises that can be achieved with the single unit can still be done with the double - the double Torsonator increases the number of available exercises and variety. You really are only limited by your imagination.

What unit is right for me?

If you want the complete package then you need the double Torsonator. It offers more options and variety and to be honest we think it's more fun. The double is perfect for personal trainers who want to train multiple clients at once and also participate it the workout at the same time. The single unit is perfect if you're just starting out, have a limited budget or are tight for room.

What do I get with The Torsonator package?

The basic double and single units come with the main base plates and universal joints. Bars do not come standard. If you don't have a standard barbell you can purchase a Torsonator bar here. Weights are an optional extra - standard weights will fit or you can purchase them here.
